…of When Eggy Met Peggy When Eggy Met Peggy puppet show

What happens when the lonely egg, sat on a wall, meets the sparkling pea from under that huge pile of matresses…? Join Eggy and Peggy the pea, a rock-n-rolling raspberry, cha cha-ing carrots, royalty and a blue horse in this deliciously funny and original twist on The Princess And The Pea.

Starring Amy Lloyd-Jones as the mischievous Queen and one-woman puppeteer for her quirky and beautiful creations, When Eggy Met Peggy offers a feast of puppetry, laughter and a stomping soundtrack to inspire adults and children alike to grow their food, love it and eat it all up.

‘You’re not a real princess…into the compost!” Queen

By performing alongside her creations and experimenting with a variety of puppet making techniques and materials she has produced an original and very funny piece of work. Plot In more Detail:

The Queen is working on her allotment. She has heard a rumour that some kind of fruit or vegetable (she’s not sure which), under a large pile of mattresses, will reveal a “true” princess for her dopey son. Of course the fresh produce need to be full and firm, to withstand such pressure, and what better way to discover the perfect specimen and trick them under all those mattresses than for the Queen to hold a Grand Talent Competition.

The cha cha-ing carrot family and the rock ‘n rolling raspberry are thrilled to be contestants but will the sparkling Peggy the pea be so gullible?

Eggy is a lot smarter than Humpty Dumpty. He has big plans for when he falls off the wall and has made sure a frying pan will catch him. The fruit and veg  are more than happy to join him in his passion for cooking but can he rescue them from the Queen… or will he be too late?
